Dhamala Ko Hamala is a program produced by well known journalist Rishi Dhamala. The program is based on Dhamala’s own style where he tries to pick up contemporary issues. The program is fun based and satirical. Nepali video comedy sector there has been a lot of new creations and involvements of new generation which indicates a rapid growth in Nepali comedy. At the early days, even when Nepal Television was not established respectful comedians like Dhurba Hada, late Rajpal Thapa used to entertain people by performing stage shows. Gradually technology entered the premises of Nepal and Nepali comedy started to rise. ‘MAHA’ Jodi (Madana Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya), Santosh Panta brought a unique reform in Nepali comedy and made people laugh through their act. They took Nepali comedy at its peak and are still uplifting the video comedy from every possible angle. Likewise comedians (writers/directors) Sailendra Simkhada, Shamde Sherpa, Shiva Hari Poudel, Deepk Raj Giri, Jitu Nepal, Manoj Gajurel, Daman Rupakheti, Kedar Prassad Ghimire (Magnebudo), Sitaram Kattel, Prakash subedi, Mohan Mishra, etc and comedians (actors/actress) late Gopal Raj Mainali, Bashundhara Bhushal, Ananda Thapa,Resham Firiri, Sher B Gurung, Rashmi Timalsina, Kumar Kattel, Arjun Ghimire, etc are giving their best to promote Nepali video comedy and help people to laugh and just laugh by forgetting their pain and sorrows. Let’s give a big salute to all the comedians of Nepal who does all the hard work and brings happiness on common people’s face.
