The government of India has provided a financial assistance of Rs 45.66 million to construct hostel building for Madan-Ashrit Memorial Technical School in Gothatar, Kathmandu. Indian ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae and UML leader Pradip Nepal, chairman of Madan-Ashrit Foundation jointly inaugurated the newly-constructed three storey hostel building on Monday. he hostel building has 24 rooms, one large meeting hall and separate rest rooms for boys and girls in each floor, according to a press statement issued by the Indian Embassy. The Madan-Ashrit Memorial Technical School, established in 2009, conducts vocational courses for civil sub overseers as well as other community oriented short-term vocational training with the help of CTEVT under the government of Nepal. “The school lacked hostel facilities till now and the new hostel building will facilitate students from outside the Kathmandu Valley in completing technical programs, improving their professional skills and becoming economically independent,” adds the release.
