A 34 year old man Stephen Ngila Nthenge has been charged with attempted murder, after he allegedly chopped off his wife's hands due to what she said was inability of the couple to have children, during seven years of marriage. 27 year old Jackline Mwende also sustained injuries to her head and abdomen. She is now at the mercy of her parents who say this is a responsibility added to their already heavy burdens. Mercy Juma Okande reports from Masii in Machakos County.
