Visiting Under Secretary General of United Nations for Field Support Atul Khare called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Bimalendra Nidhi, at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar on Tuesday. On the occasion, DPM Nidhi thanked the UN for its contribution to Nepal’s peace process and post earthquake reconstruction. He also urged for further support of the UN in Nepal in days ahead, said Spokesperson at the Home Ministry, Yadav Koirala. Under Secretary General Khare lauded the contribution of the Nepali people, Nepal Police, Armed Police and Nepal Army to international peace keeping missions. He also expressed commitment for taking initiative to providing additional support from the UN to Nepal.
