There are hundereds of animals around us. Some animals live in water while others live on land. Some animals are made from one cell while others are made from many cells. The animals made from one cell are called unicellular animals. LIkewise animals made from many cells are called multicellular animals. Animals are divided into two groups based on wather they have backbone or not. The animals that do not have backbone are called invertebrate.
Inveretebrate do not have backbone. These animals are unicellular or multicellular.
scientists have further divided invertebrates into nine groups:

a) Protozoa
b) Porifera
c) Coelenterata
d) Platyhelminthes
e) Nemathelminthes
f) Annelida
g) Arthropoda
h) Mollusca
