Dr Govinda KC, professor at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, announced on Sunday that he will start a hunger strike from July 10 if if the government doesn’t abide by the agreements reached with him in the past. This will be the seventh time Dr KC will stage a hunger strike demanding reforms in Nepal's medical sector.Dr KC accused Karki, a public official supposed to control corruption, of indulging in corruption himself. He blamed Karki for promoting medical colleges of his relatives by blackmailing government officials concerned. Dr KC made the hunger strike announcement by organising a press conference at the hospital.
