"NPPA Silver Jublee" Celebration in Maryland, USA - 2016

The celebration of NPPAs 25th anniversary was successfully held on 4th and 5th of November at Northwood High School, 919 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 20901 . NPPA stands for Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye. The main motto of this organization is to promote communication and dialogue among dedicated and concerned people in the America and Nepal to preserve and promote the cultural heritage, the tradition and the customs of the Newa people of Nepal.
They have also celebrated Nepal Sambat 1137 Mha Pooja which is also also known as BHINTUNA on the same event. It is a unique cultural event of the Newah people of Nepal. Since it was the Silver Jubilee of NPPA, the celebration was held for two days. There were a lot of people who came to take part in the celebration. They have also called famous duo MaHa Jodi to lighten the celebration by their amazing performance.
Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bamsha Acharya performed on November 5th. They also had Prem Raja Mahat, Shanti Bhandari, Ram Shrestha, Sanjeep Pradhan, Yagya Man Shakya, Sarishma Amatya in the program. These are also the time for the people to come together and share their happiness with each other. Though they are away from the country but they are not letting their culture go away from them. They are carrying their culture and tradition with them and they are also celebrating it to promote it and preserve it. Video By Khem Bhattachan
