Guaranteed vs. Non-Guaranteed Permanent Life Insurance Policies Fifty years ago, most life insurance policies sold were guaranteed and offered by mutual fund companies. Choices were limited to term, endowment or whole life policies. It was simple, you paid a high, set premium and the insurance company guaranteed the death benefit. All of that changed in the 1980s. Interest rates soared, and policy owners surrendered their coverage to invest the cash value in higher interest paying non-insurance products. To compete, insurers began offering interest-sensitive non-guaranteed policies. Guaranteed versus Non-Guaranteed Policies Today, companies offer a broad range of guaranteed and non-guaranteed life insurance policies. A guaranteed policy is one in which the insurer assumes all the risk and contractually guarantees the death benefit in exchange for a set premium payment. If investments underperform or expenses go up, the insurer has to absorb the loss. With a non-guaranteed policy the owner, in exchange for a lower premium and possibly better return, is assuming much of the investment risk as well as giving the insurer the right to increase policy fees. If things don’t work out as planned, the policy owner has to absorb the cost and pay a higher premium.

A daughter and we wanted her to be exposed

I have a daughter and we wanted her to be exposed to engineering, so as soon as we heard about GoldieBlox we bought the products for her and she loves the toys and building things. I’m a big fan of making science and engineering fun for kids. Kids at that age think stuff is cool; my son, for instance, was recently freezing bananas with nitrogen, then smashing and shattering them. The world is amazing and you have to open your eyes to it. The fact that your DNA is over a million years old is amazing. And the fact that you’re related to other things My son is obsessed with the fact that humans share 50% of their DNA with a banana! “I see the potential of what kids can learn [in the STEM disciplines]. You have to put real investment behind it, and there’s still a long way to go. Still, there’s democratization of information with the Internet and television. You can teach yourself a ton, but making sure this trickles down to all walks of life is important. GoldieBlox is brilliant that way you just have to tinker and you learn. If you ask some super-successful people here in Silicon Valley what they did as kids, they’ll say, ‘I was always dismantling my parents’ vacuum cleaner or car.’ Kids have to have the freedom to explore what’s in their environment.”

Russian Biker Girl

Actually, the dude wasn’t running from the cops. He had no idea there was even a cop behind him until he got to the light which is where he was starting to pull over. The cop was charged for excessive use of force and sued for $180,000 which the biker won. Justin Wilkins was recently awarded a payout for a 2012 incident involving Oregon police officer Captain Rob Edwards. Wilkins received the payout when it was confirmed the cop kicked him in the chest. Edwards was on patrol in an unmarked police vehicle when Wilkins passed him on a solid line. Edwards pursued the reckless biker for nearly five minutes, during which the biker can be seen on police dashcam footage weaving in and out of cars. The biker was forced to slow down a bit as he approached an intersection. Edwards comes to a stop as well, but not before knocking the biker to the ground. The officer’s adrenaline may have played too big of a role and landed him on the defendant’s side of the courtroom. Edwards stepped out of the patrol car, drew his weapon and kicked Wilkins in the chest before putting the biker in cuffs. Wilkins suffered a broken clavicle and fractured rib but the $180,000 from the excessive use of force claim likely has him feeling better.

Archana Paneru Dance

Entertainment is a form of activity that holds the attention and interest of an audience, or gives pleasure and delight. It can be an idea or a task, but is more likely to be one of the activities or events that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience’s attention.[1] Although people’s attention is held by different things, because individuals have different preferences in entertainment, most forms are recognisable and familiar. Storytelling, music, drama, dance, and different kinds of performance exist in all cultures, were supported in royal courts, developed into sophisticated forms and over time became available to all citizens. The process has been accelerated in modern times by an entertainment industry which records and sells entertainment products. Entertainment evolves and can be adapted to suit any scale, ranging from an individual who chooses a private entertainment from a now enormous array of pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two; to any size or type of party, with appropriate music and dance; to performances intended for thousands; and even for a global audience. The experience of being entertained has come to be strongly associated with amusement, so that one common understanding of the idea is fun and laughter, although many entertainments have a serious purpose. This may be the case in the various forms of ceremony, celebration, religious festival, or satire for example. Hence, there is the possibility that what appears as entertainment may also be a means of achieving insight or intellectual growth.

The Kanchan-Mohan Regmi family dispute was made an issue

A media house which had the power to make or change things, opinion or even the country; which carried the responsibilities of revealing the facts and truths of the society made a widespread blunder which could and already have twisted into a tragedy. The Kanchan-Mohan Regmi family dispute was made an issue for the whole general public to observe. Like as if we haven’t heard of family disputes which have had crueler endings. Question: where were they then? We might someday have our own relationship issue being watched by millions of people all over the world and even being commented upon the right and the wrongdoings. Seriously, are we running out of news and discussions in our country? Suman Ji or shall I mention him as Suman Bhai who interviewed Kanchan Sharma Regmi (Didi). A person with comfort in his voice, the slow conversations style, and the soft speaking skills was seen as a protector, a listener to a conversation rather than a person interviewing Kanchan Sharma Regmi. Had he done the research before the interview, which generally every interviewer does, the conversation could have turned into an investigation that could reveal the reality. The 23 minutes of interview raised more questions than answers to a general public.

Japan earthquake: 7.4 magnitude quake

A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit northeastern Japan this morning, triggering tsunamis along the coast including a one-metre (3.3-foot) wave that crashed ashore at the stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant. National broadcaster NHK urged residents in the region to “flee immediately” to high ground, reminding listeners to heed the lessons of the “Great East Japan Earthquake”.A massive undersea quake that hit in March 2011 unleashed a tsunami that left more than 18,500 people dead or missing, and sent three reactors into meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant in one of the world’s worst nuclear disasters. The powerful quake also shook buildings in Tokyo, which lies about 230 kilometres to the south. Japan’s Meteorological Agency, which estimated the quake’s magnitude at 7.4, downgraded its tsunami warning from an “alert” to an “advisory” although still urged caution along coastal areas. An official from plant operator TEPCO told a news conference that a one-metre wave had hit the coast at the facility, but a spokesman for the company told AFP there were no reports of damage.

Term Policies Term life insurance is guaranteed. The premium is set at issue and clearly stated right in the policy. An annual renewable term policy has a premium that goes up every year. A level term policy has an initially higher premium that does not change for a set period, usually 10, 20 or 30 years, and then becomes annual renewable term with a premium based on your attained age. Permanent Policies Permanent coverage: whole, universal and variable life is more confusing since the same policy, depending on how it is issued, can often be either guaranteed or non-guaranteed. All permanent life insurance policy illustrations are hypothetical and include ledgers that show how the policy could perform under both guaranteed and non-guaranteed assumptions. The rates of return and policy fees are usually shown at the top of each ledger column and some policies, such as variable or index life, are sometimes illustrated assuming very optimistic 7-8% annual returns. Non-guaranteed policies are typically illustrated with a premium that is calculated based on a favorable assumed rate of return and policy fees that could change. The lower premium payment is great as long as the performance of the policy meets or exceeds the assumptions in the illustration. Click Here However, if the policy does not meet expectations then the owner would have to pay a higher premium and/or reduce the death benefit, or the coverage may lapse prematurely. Some permanent policies offer a rider, for an additional cost, that is part of the contract and guarantees the policy will not lapse. The policy is guaranteed, even if the cash value drops to zero, as long as the planned premium is paid as scheduled. Depending on how the policy and the premium are calculated, the no lapse guarantee can range from a few years out to age 121. However, in exchange for transferring the risk back to the insurer these policies typically have a higher premium and build little cash value. How to Decide Whether you should buy guaranteed or non-guaranteed life insurance coverage depends on many factors. Here are some factors to consider: If necessary, will you be able to pay higher premiums? Most people who bought universal life policies 10-20 years ago, when 5-7% fixed interest rates were the norm, never envisioned the financial collapse in 2008 or the extended low-interest rates that we are currently experiencing. Those policies are now only earning 2-3% and the owners, often retirees, are faced with paying significantly higher premiums or losing the coverage. Why are you buying life insurance? Insurance is unique because it allows you to time liquidity to certain events and transfer large risks that you cannot otherwise afford to pay out of pocket. If, like most people, you are buying life insurance for the leverage (small premium/large death benefit), you may prefer not having to worry about the policy staying in force. Do you want to invest the premium and grow the cash value? Many insurers promote the ‘living benefits’ of permanent life insurance that include the tax-free growth of the cash value, the ability to invest in mutual fund sub-accounts or index products, and taking loans against the cash value or surrender a portion of the cash value. If these benefits are important to you, then guaranteed coverage may not be the best choice. How long do you need the coverage for? For many people, a 20 or 30-year level term policy may be adequate to pay off a mortgage or provide funds for your children’s education. And some term insurance can be converted. However, if you need coverage for your entire life, for example as part of an estate plan, then you need a policy that will stay in force until at least age 95 or 100. The Bottom Line It is critical to think about why you are buying life insurance and how it fits into your financial picture. If the primary reason for having insurance is to help transfer risk—then adding risk to the insurance may not make sense.

Archana Paneru’s New Video

Health Tips – Multi Purpose Plant

Nepal has a complex topography with hills and flat lands, and the Kathmandu valley is renowned for the seasonal vegetables grown in its fertile soil. Vegetables (tarkaari) are one of the most important foods in the daily Nepali diet, and a typical Nepali meal consists of rice, lentils, and some kind of side vegetable dish. The most common vegetables include green beans, cauliflowers, cabbage, eggplants, greens (mustard, spinach), okra, potatoes, Nepali radish, squash, tomatoes and many other seasonal local vegetables. Due to the scarcity of cultivated land in many rural and hilly areas of Nepal, fresh vegetables are limited, so locals tend to consume root vegetables as well as dried and fermented vegetables. Generally, green leafy vegetables such as spinach and mustard greens are eaten daily in large quantities wherever available. Vegetables are also made into pickles, salads, snacks, and desserts. During the peak season, you may see a local farmer balancing a bamboo pole across his shoulders, holding two wicker woven baskets full of freshly picked vegetables, heading to the market. In Nepali vegetable markets, one can experience the proud skills of vendors arranging every tiny space with a dramatic display of vegetables and fruits. Greens, such as spinach, mustard, fresh coriander, and garden cress are neatly tied in small bundles and piled up in a beautiful way. A variety of dry vegetables such as potatoes, onions, and shallots are skillfully arranged in a wicker trays, or baskets or in jute-burlap sacks. On many street corners, vendors set up small stands with the fresh fruits and vegetables such as green gooseberry, labsi (Hog plum), guava, or tangerines. The vegetables are sold in the markets weighted in a hand-held local scale, known as taraaju, which comes in a variety of sizes and forms.
