Baniya Speech on we love Nepal, Anti-corruption movement. Journalist and Chairman of Sajha Yatayat Kanank Mani Dixit has been produced before the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday. The security squad of the Commission for the Investigation Abuse of Authority (CIAA) took Dixit to the SC from Bir Hospital. Responding to a habeas corpus writ filed by Dixit’s wife Shanta Dixit, the SC had ordered the CIAA to produce Dixit at the court on Thursday. Dixit’s spouse Shanta on Wednesday had registered the petition at the apex court claiming that the arrest of Dixit is illegal. She had named the CIAA and the Special Court as defendants. The Special Court on Sunday had remanded Dixit to a 10-day judicial custody effective from Friday. Dixit was arrested on April 22 (Friday) on the charge of amassing property through illegal means.
