India has carried out surgical strikes on 6 terror launchpads inside Pakistan in which 38 terrorists were killed and 2 Pakistani soldiers were injured. PM Modi has informed the President about the military operation. India conducted surgical strikes last night along the LoC to safeguard our nation, the Defence Ministry said on Thursday. “Significant casualties have been caused to terrorists and those trying to shield them. We don’t have a plan to further conduct such strikes. India has spoken to Pakistan,” DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh said. The upcoming South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) summit scheduled to be held in November in Pakistan has been postponed after India Withdraw its participate. Following India's announcement, Bangladesh and Afghanistan said it was also pulling out. Nepal government has urged that a conducive environment be created soon to ensure participation of all member states in the 19th Saarc summit.
